The Golden Boy of Children’s Music
By Sandra Pedicini

I've been hearing a lot about Gustafer Yellowgold, and recently got a chance to sample his DVD.
For those of you who don't know Gustafer, he's a cartoon character, sort of the alter ego, if you will, of musician Morgan Taylor. He is a yellow fellow who hails from the sun, and sings sweet songs about pine cones and And he's a sensation among parents.
We recently sampled Gustafer's Have You Never Been Yellow? DVD. I loved the Beatlesque melodies. Pinecone Lovely, an ode to nature, was a favorite. So were The Mustard Slugs and the Bluebird Tree. And I thought the videos were very sweet - though older children used to more active cartoons might not sit through many, as I discovered with Tiny Dancer. I'm thinking toddlers and younger preschoolers, however, would love him.
